As the continued retention of these sites by

the War Department appears to be no longer necessary, I would request that the question be reopened with the War Office with a view to a retransfer of the land to this Government as proposed in the third paragraph of Sir Cecil Clemenci's despatch No.240 of 14th May, 1926.
